The purpose of this policy is to promote a safe and responsible working culture, reduce foreseeable risks associated with Murzo Group’s activities, support physical and mental wellbeing in a proportionate manner, and comply with applicable health and safety laws where required.
This policy forms part of Murzo Group’s wider legal, risk, and governance framework.
2. Scope
This policy applies to:
- Employees, contractors, consultants, and temporary workers
- Visitors to Murzo Group-controlled premises or sites
- Activities undertaken on Murzo Group’s behalf
- Remote, hybrid, field-based, and on-site work
- Design, research, testing, prototyping, and operational activities
The policy applies globally and irrespective of jurisdiction.
3. Health & Safety Principles
Murzo Group’s approach to health and safety is guided by the following principles:

- Responsibility: Individuals are responsible for acting safely
- Compliance: Observing applicable legal requirements where they apply

Murzo Group does not operate as a regulator or enforcement authority.
4. Risk Management
Where appropriate, Murzo Group may identify potential hazards associated with its activities, implement reasonable control measures, provide information or guidance relevant to specific tasks, and review risks where operational conditions change.
Risk management is context-specific and does not eliminate all risk.
5. Work Environments
Murzo Group activities may take place in a variety of environments, including:
- Offices and studios
- Workshops or laboratories
- Client sites
- Agricultural or outdoor environments
- Remote or home-working settings
Not all environments are under Murzo Group’s direct control.
6. Individual Responsibility
All individuals engaging with Murzo Group activities are expected to:
- Take reasonable care for their own health and safety
- Act responsibly and lawfully
- Follow applicable instructions or guidance
- Avoid reckless or unsafe behaviour
Failure to do so may result in suspension of access or engagement.
7. Contractors, Visitors & Third Parties
Third parties are responsible for their own health and safety practices, compliance with applicable laws and site rules, and providing appropriate training and equipment.
Murzo Group does not assume responsibility for third-party safety systems or failures.
8. Wellbeing
Murzo Group recognises that wellbeing includes both physical and mental health.
Where appropriate and feasible, Murzo Group may encourage reasonable working practices, support balanced workloads, and promote awareness of wellbeing considerations.
This policy does not constitute medical, psychological, or occupational health advice.
9. Incidents & Reporting
Where incidents occur in connection with Murzo Group activities, individuals are encouraged to report concerns promptly.
Murzo Group may review incidents to identify lessons learned, and corrective actions may be taken where appropriate.
Murzo Group is not obliged to investigate incidents beyond legal or contractual requirements.
10. Limitations of Responsibility
While Murzo Group seeks to act responsibly and lawfully, it acknowledges that not all risks can be identified or eliminated, activities may involve inherent or unavoidable risks, and environmental, operational, or third-party factors may be beyond Murzo Group’s control.
Accordingly, to the fullest extent permitted by law, Murzo Group does not guarantee a risk-free environment and does not accept responsibility for injury, illness, harm, or death arising from activities, environments, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Individuals engage in activities with Murzo Group at their own risk, subject to applicable law.
Nothing in this policy excludes liability that cannot be lawfully excluded.
11. Legal & Policy Interaction
This policy does not create contractual obligations, does not override statutory duties where they apply, and operates alongside Murzo Group’s other governance policies.
Where inconsistencies arise, applicable law and contractual terms prevail.
12. Review & Updates
This policy is reviewed periodically and may be updated to reflect legal or regulatory developments, operational changes, and lessons learned from incidents.
